Privacy Policy

NYCInjury.ai ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by AI Strategies NYC, a sole proprietorship d/b/a NYCInjury.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. By using NYCInjury.ai you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Conversation content. When you use the AI assistant, we store the text of your conversation — the questions you type and the AI's responses. This is necessary to maintain context across turns and to evaluate your inquiry as a potential legal lead.

Contact information. If you voluntarily provide your name, phone number, or preferred callback time during the conversation, we store that information so we can connect you with a personal injury attorney.

Session identifiers. We store a session ID in a browser cookie (7-day expiry) so we can restore your conversation if you return. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Usage data. We log which questions were asked, the PI case type identified, and whether a lead was generated. We do not log your IP address or device fingerprint.

Firm information. If you register as a law firm, we collect your firm name, email address, phone number, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers). We also store your practice profile (case type specializations, service area, contact name).

How We Use Your Information

To operate the AI assistant and generate legal guidance responses
To evaluate your inquiry as a potential personal injury lead
To connect qualified leads with subscribing PI law firms
To send you follow-up communications if you request an attorney referral
To operate the firm lead marketplace (billing, auction notifications, lead delivery)
To improve the platform and AI quality

        If you provide your name and phone number, that information may be shared with a licensed personal injury law firm as part of a lead referral. You consent to this when you provide your contact details.
      

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

OpenAI — Powers the AI assistant. Your conversation content is sent to OpenAI for processing. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
CourtListener / Free Law Project — Provides case law search results shown during conversations. No personal information is shared.
Stripe — Processes subscription and lead payments for law firms. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Twilio — Sends SMS verification codes to law firms during registration. See Twilio's Privacy Policy.
Vercel — Hosts the platform. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Neon — Stores conversation and firm data in a managed Postgres database. See Neon's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Conversation data is retained for a period sufficient to fulfill attorney referrals and resolve any disputes, typically up to 2 years. Firm account data is retained for the duration of the firm's subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for billing and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see below).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Withdraw consent to being contacted by a law firm (if you have not yet been connected)

Children

NYCInjury.ai is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the platform, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
